Komebukuro or Rice Bag

Hand Loomed Cotton

JAPAN

A Komebukuro (Kome= rice Fukuro = bag, the "b" is the result of the compound) is a bag used for offering rice to a temple during a Buddhist festival. To present something of personal value, while not being too luxurious, the cloth was combined in a decorative way and the fabric was carefully selected from scraps of material the maker valued. Store your rice for the mice with your unique vintage Japanese bag. Very special.

Sorry, sold out.
But there is lots of other nice stuff!
