Yes, we live in a city and yes, we tested this before deciding to include it and now, I think you are wondering how and where. Where: we were on our fire escape. How: there was an old camping camouflage tent involved; did we create a bird watching bunker?...I can never tell. But sure as promised the turn of the call and a little patience brought several birds to the tree our apartment faces and we have been hobby bird watchers ever since, albeit primarily from our fire escape but the bird call is small enough I can carry it with me at all times (NOTE! I am sure to not overuse it as it can stress the birds out). Created by Roger Eddy in the 50's. He was inspired after witnessing a hunter using a similar device in Northern Italy. His initiative began as a family enterprise and remains a family enterprise today. Sometimes the squeak can stop so each one comes with a small amount of rosin in a red capsule to re-squeak it. Puncture the capsule of rosin with a pin and puff some of the powder into where the wood and metal meet.
