I do like the inscription on this piece...it is a family name Zensuke. It was stitched in katakana rather than the more complex kanji, which names are generally written in, as it was quicker and easier. I can imagine this little bag was stitched together for someone's trip at the last moment. It is good for travel and / or storing small objects one cares about.
