German Chalk
$12.00 $4.80
chalk
3.75" x 2" x 1.5"
Schwabach, GERMANY

Chalk was used in cave paintings and we still use it today. A simple material that occurs naturally, it was first put in a stick form for artists use. Then in the 1800s, it was used in a classroom setting as classes had become larger and information needed to be presented to groups. This chalk has a handy sleeve that is moveable. Practical since the paper otherwise always gets in the way. Ever use chalk on the sidewalk for hopscotch? Hopscotch originated in Britain during the Roman Empire as foot training for soldiers; children created the game to copy the soldier’s movements. In that respect, buying a box of chalk could provide a cheap alternative to the gym. You have the chalk + the sidewalk + you = good workout!
