The perfect little cuckoo to remind you of the hours passing by. Hand-carved at a 60-year-old firm in the middle of Black Forest; authentic in the way that only the Germans can do. Contains a German mechanism that has largely gone unchanged since the middle of the 18th century. Although it is often thought the Swiss invented the cuckoo clock, this is not the case, while the concept was not first invented in the Black Forest it was invented in Germany. I wish it had an alarm setting, sadly, this one strikes every hour, could be difficult in a one room studio in New York City but should work fine in most other places.
