We like our first MINI-EXHIBITION by the design group
RICH, BRILLIANT, WILLING so much we have decided to keep it on view until MAY 31ST. What a great way to end the month. OPEN TUESDAY TO SATURDAY 1PM - 7PM. The group will be on-hand for some of the time to chat. We have also asked them to make a product to sell at the show and it is really good - individually gathered candles to give instead of flowers. 4"x3.5".5" Twelve pieces of non-toxic hard pastels in a really sweet box. The circus really does make everything fun. I think the product speaks for itself. Anton Franz Mörtel founded his factory in 1870 and it is still owned by the Mörtel family. It began as a chalk factory outside of Nürnberg but then moved to Schwabach after WW II as their factory was destroyed during the war. They added industrial crayons and other dynamic products in the 60s; these pastels were created then. Pastels are the powdered pigment and a binder, the harder the pastel the more binder. We also offer oil pastels and chalk by this firm.
