This year our annual sale is happening together with AREAWARE and at the same time as Mini-Exhibition #3 by BROKEN PLATE COOKIES. Friday September 12th thru Sunday September 14th from 1 - 7 pm. Cookies are only on the weekend, it's a real rummage sale.

Mentholatum $6.00

2" x 2" Hong Kong A true cross-over product. There is a US made Mentholatum but the packaging is no where as sweet as the Chinese variant. The story is a little confusing. Mentholatum was founded in the US in 1889. In 1920 a missionary in Japan acquired the distribution rights. In 1991 they founded a Chinese division. Our co-worker in Hong Kong pointed out the product as something from her childhood. So the question was, was it coming to Hong Kong via Japan? We did a bit of research and found out it came from Japan and interestingly enough the package is by the same designer who did the O'Band rubber bands in our Japanese collection, Mr. Imatake!
