Publishers wraps with photographic portrait of Saroyan on the cover; wraps browned with some stray soiling, minor creasing. First edition, warmly inscribed by Saroyan, and with an interesting provenance. A note on the initial blank, under the inscription, notes that it once belonged to the poet Peter Riley, a major figure in the British Poetry Revival and the Cambridge School. The note, dated March 1996, also states, without context, Ed B.
