Boot Jack
Boots and mud and a jack! Walks abound in the UK in any weather; there is never an un-muddy moment in the UK countryside. Yet, somehow every time I head out I inevitably forget to bring my rubber boots, a communal problem is how to get the mud caked things off without being covered in mud, hence the boot jack. Standing with one foot on the back end, placing your heel into the curved side and pulling your heel towards you, gently pull your boot off, flip feet and repeat again, then go for a rinse. Wellies are rubber for the reason they are simple to hose down. It's always a problem coming back to a London flat with mud caked boots. Don't forget to hose.
