Just a book devoted to English cities and small towns and why should there not be? One of a series of books produced about Britain during the war. John Betjeman was the
Poet Laureate of the United Kingdom from 1972 until his death. He authored a number of guidebooks and architectural books in his time and his poetry often includes objects of the everyday. He was very good at documenting the regular old world around him in a poetic form. And so, how can this book be anything less than a good read? Do note the condition, the price reflects. I hope this goes to a kind home and is well loved.
