A dimple, a pinch that never goes away. This guy is a wee one, a mini-me. It's not always possible to get a half pint but if not, that's a place I don't return to. Unless you are knocking it back pretty hard your going to find that 3/4 of the way into a pint it's gonna be warm. But a half-pint, it's cool and fresh to the bottom and it's always nice to go up to the bar for a chat and another. I never feel awkward or out of sorts in a pub whereas I rarely feel at home in a bar. Pubs are always welcoming, a real substitute for a home, literally and figuratively. I rarely drink beer at home, call me gentile or smug, I find this little mug so right for herbal tea. The thickness of the mug and the handle manage heat well, keeping it bedside works although it can be a little odd to have a half-pint mug from a pub on ones bedside table at night. Only the master of sleep knows what you are dreaming.
